Designing Hinges In

A retired police officer with, an extensive gun collection, had the idea that surplus military ammunition an airtight/water tight container could be made more useful by adding an organizing tray, in fact three stackable trays each divided into twelve compartments. In this case a fabricated prototype was built. Nortic suggested some changes to the design, incorporating a “living hinge” handle (which was patented by the design holder) and a provision to enable each compartment size to be altered. A local tool designer and tool maker were chosen to create the mold which would then produce the tens of thousands of these which have then been sold.
